Meet and connect with like-minded folks and stay for a volunteer project, including repairing gear, helping us spread the word about BAWT through mail campaigns, and other essential (and fun!) odd jobs. Bay Area Wilderness Training is seeking passionate and energetic people with resources and connections to serve on its Advisory Council. BAWT has a range of volunteer-driven committees including a Fundraising Committee (fundraising events, as well as annual strategy and tracking), Operations Committee (marketing, website, IT and software conversions, facilities and operational planning) and Community Engagement Committee (board recruiting, ambassador events, corporate giving, volunteerism and community surveys). Our committees usually meet once a month and tackle important, strategic decisions.
